Hi, I’m glad to have found this forum and this site. I’m from Copenhagen and I worked as a stewardess for many years and it kind of got me hooked on America.
I flew mostly into O’hare in Chicago so I got to know that city pretty well. But once I took a vacation when I was stateside to Miami I was hooked for life.
I’m building my Heritage Site to tell my family story and to have a place to keep all of our photo’s online too.
I have found many of our old relatives and our family that was already here in America had a lot of leads to follow. But just like everyone else I’ve found that this family research takes time and patience. But also that it’s so much fun too.
I have found a great way to find old relatives that are hard to find. Here is a great Census site you may not have found yet: http://www.us-census.org/
They are private or so I’m told. I liked it because I didn’t have to wait for all the ads to populate every time I clicked something.
Have fun with it and be sure to share your best tips here too!
